Bitten By The Bug 2 Challenge and Blog Hop

My entry for the Bitten by the Bug 2 Disney challenge is the catipillar from Alice in Wonderland. When I saw him on this cart I couldn't wait to create a card with him in mind.

Here's How:
The background paper is from My Minds Eye Penny Lane stack. The catapillar was cut at 6" from the Disney Classic cart using cardstock from the Paper Company. The mushroom was cut at 4" from the Fresly Picked cart. I cut the mushroom on chipboard first then I cut it again on cardstock. I put the mushroom together then ran it through my big shot using the Spots and Dots cuddlebug folder. The glitter paper on the mushroom is from DCWV Glitter matstack. I cut the grass from the Plantin Schoolbook Cart at 2" then ran it through my Big shot using the Swiss Dots cuddlebug folder. I used Marvy markers to outline and add a little color to the swiss dots on the grass and leaf.

Blog Button

I have a Scrappin Rabbit Blog Button! I'm so happy that Amy at lovetocrop helped walk me through the how to's and was patient enough to see me through to the end. Thanks Amy your awesome!

Simply Sunday Challenge: For the Birds...His Eye is on the Sparrow

I saw the Simply Sunday Challenge from Getting Cricky at my SOL blog Disney Dreamer Designs and I had to join in on the fun.

The owl is cut at 3" from the Hoot n' Holler Lite cart. I used cardstock from American Traditional Designs for my owl. The blue paper behind my owl is SEI and the patterned paper is from the Material Girl & Garden Variety Double Deck from Cosmo Cricket. The sentiment is from The Paper Studio Greetings Clear stamp set. The ribbon was from my stash.

Here comes the Easter Bunny

This is my entry for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #53 Looks Like Spring.

I also linked this to the Patches of Pink Link up Party.

I made this Easter card for my nephews since they are big Disney fans. I am so pleased with how this turned out.

I used a 5” Grumpy from the Happily Ever After cart and remove his pick axe. I had to have something for him to lean on so I chose a 4” Easter basket from the Stretch your Imagination cart. The Easter basket came with a little bunny so naturally I had to include two. Since Grumpy is grumpy I had to give him a reason for his grumpiness so I put him in a pink shirt and highlighted his cheeks to help him express his annoyance. I cut grass at 1 1/12” from the Plantin SchoolBook cart and blinged it up with a little lime green stickles. The solid paper is from the paper company. The patterned paper is from the My Minds Eye Simply Delightful stack which I used for the background and Easter basket. The sentiment stamp and eggs are from Studio g mini stamp sets. I used Marvy markers to color the eggs and then I used a blender pen from SU and a Marvy marker to give grumpy his pinkish hue on his face. The sweet petites Tiny Check brown ribbon is from AC Moore.

Our day in the sun

As some of you know I have been recovering from surgery so I'm out of work this week. The weather has been gray and rainy ever since last Friday. My bunny Boo is enjoying his time with me at home but I'm getting a little stir crazy. I woke up this morning to finally see our one day in the sun. Today is the only day that it will not be raining and Boo and I are taking full advantage of this by sitting out on my back deck. As you can see the rain is bringing out the dogwood flowers and putting a little pep in my bunnies step.

Cards that I made in class

At my friend Kim's card class we made cards using the basic grey origins collection pack and the Tim Holtz and Cuddlebug embossing folders. I changed up the cards and used my own personal touch by using the Greeting stamps from the paper company. The pearl embellishments are from Queen & Co.

Mini Magazine holder

This was a fun project that I made in my friend Kim's card class. I'm using it to store cards but it could be used for a gift or to store pictures, embellisments, mini albums, etc.

My Brag Book

My friend Kim showed me how to make a cute little mini album. When designing this I had my new granddaughter Maddie in mind. I now have a mini brag book of Maddie so I can show her off to my friends and extened family.

Kim found the pacifier at a dollar store and gave me one to use on my book.

I love the design of this album and plan to make more to show case small trips through out the year.

Rain, rain go away!

It’s been raining here for the past two days so I was inspired to create a card using my new April Showers cart. I cut the happy cloud at 3” and the surprised cloud at 1 ½”. The umbrella was cut at 2” and Pooh Bear was cut at 4”. Pooh came with a honey pot so I cut that off and replaced it with the cloud to make it look like he was trying to see if there is anymore rain inside the little cloud.

The background paper is from DCWV Summer Dream stack. The umbrella's patterned paper is from My Minds Eye Penny Lane stack. The solid paper that I used for the clouds came from American Traditional Designs textured cardstock and it cuts like a dream on the cricut. The paper that I used on Pooh Bear was from the paper studio textured card stock stack. The sentiment, faces on the clouds and rain drops are from the 2008 Holly Brooke Jones for My Cute Stamps set. The ink is Not Quite Navy from Stampin Up!

I had a lot of fun making this card and am not sure if I can give it up so I may have to frame it!

Spring Blog Hop Challenge

I'm participating in the Spring Blog Hop by Lisa from Scrappin' in NJ. She didn't require that we make a spring project but I was too inspired not to. The Easter card is for my Mom and I am pleased with how it turned out.

I used My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful paper on the card and flower image. The rabbit and flower image was cut at 4" from the Celebrate with Flourish Lite Cricut cart. The vintage lace is from Making Memories Noel pack and the flower brad came from creative imaginations.
