Tag your it!

Happy Friday everybody!!! I bet you are all on the edge of your seats waiting for the Pink by Design Ustream for their new stamp release. I know I can't wait...

Since I've been on facebook I am getting all sorts of invitations to blog hops and challenges. How great is that? I love it! I just wish that there was enough time to do it all. Well since I'm in my craft room waiting for the Pink by Design Ustream, I decided I should enter a challenge.

Well one of my bloggie/facebook friends, Janis of Pause Dream Enjoy has a wonderful challenge going on right now that I am participating in. It's the 52 Tags Week #16 Challenge: Create an ACROSTIC tag using your NAME.

I'm a card girl so I love challenges that get me out of my comfy crafty zone and give me a What? A Challenge. Hehehe so here it is my version of an Acrostic Tag.

What do you think? There's still plenty of time to join in on the fun. Hop on over to Pause Dream Enjoy and play along.

Here's a picture of the whole tag.

I took a close up so you could see the words that I used to create my name.

What I used to create this tag:

Inkessentials Craft tag #8 size

My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 6x6 Designer Paper - this pack has a hole at the top for hanging. I used this hole in the paper I chose and lined it up with the hole in the tag.

Tim Holtz Distress Ink in antique Linen, *ChitChat Verbiages Stickers, and Grunge Letters.
*Since I choose to use the TH stickers I had to work with the words so I took the word inspire and added the "ing" to the end.

Rusty Pickle Whipersnapper trim - burlap trim used, plus the few stray strands that came off the burlap trim when putting it through the hole in the tag.

Black Delta Ceramcoat Acrylic paint - used to paint the Grunge letters
TomBow Mono Multi Liquid Glue
Ribbon from AC Moore
Glue Dots
Brads from my stash
Flowers from the dollar bin from Michaels
Martha Stewart glitter pen in Silver - used to line the Grunge letters and the flowers
Zig Pen in Black

Hope you enjoy the rest of your Friday evening...

My new favorite thing to do

Hello crafty friends. Have you been wondering what has kept me so busy last month? Well I've had myself a couple mini vacations. The Hubby has had to work/travel alot lately so I decided that I would take advantage of that when I can and I go with him.

Our first stop was Savannah, GA during St. Patrick's Day. Then I had to go back to work for a couple of weeks so I could take the entire last week of the month off to be with my daughter and her Finance. The Hubby had to work most of that vaca but he did take us to Charleston, SC for a few days for our second stop/mini vaca of the month.

So what is my new favorite thing to do? SMASH!!!! Yep. I'm addicted and it's sooo much easier to get pages and journaling completely quickly.

Here's what I've smashed so far:

Happy crafting.

Oh my time sure does fly!!!

Hello all my crafty friends. I know you've all been wondering where in the world I've been, well March was a very busy month for me so I have not had any time to get into my craft room.

I'm hoping to get in there this weekend, I know it will be too late for Easter cards this year. I'm such a slacker.

For some good news, I am soooo close to announcing the winners of my blog candy so please stay tuned...

Until this weekend, happy crafting and I'll be stopping by to visit you soon.
