CAC 2 #36 - Thanks giving card

Happy Easter and Happy Sunday my friends.

I'm so excited because I just found out I won top honors for my St. Patrick's Day soap dispensers. I am proudly displaying my honor badge. :)

Okay enough about me and on to my last Thanksgiving card from the Create a Critter 2 series with Stacy Williams at Love that bug.

I'm having so much fun playing along with her and I'm so happy to say that I'm going to be ahead of all the season's this year.

For this card I couldn't resist getting out my cuttlebug folder and using it on the corn. It looks more like corn to me now. And you gotta love stickles. I had to give that a pie a little sugar coating with my crystal stickles. :)

Hope you are enjoying your day with your family and friends.

Thanks for dropping by.

Easter Treats - Bunny Poop

Hello my friends. With Easter so close I wanted to share the treat tags that I made.

This treat tag was centered around the Jaded Blossom stamp set: Bunny Poop. I bought this last year in anticipation of using it for this Easter. A long time in the making so with out keeping you any longer here is my project.

I made these for the boys and girls in my family.

Here's how I did this:

Bunny Bottom & Feet
My Cricut Craft Room - I took the following images from the cart listed below:
3 Birds on Parade- Who knew right?
Bird Beak used for the foot pad - forgot which pg this was on
Bird Pacifier pg. 32 - used as the bunny bottom
Chef hat pg. 55 - used as the toes
Layer 2 pg. 62 - used as the foot
Layer 2 Shift pg 52 - used for the toe pads
Layer 2 shift pg. 49 - used for the bunny tail (I keept the largest flower)
* I used the hide contour feature to hid the cuts that I did not want

The tag base is the SU Top Note
Jaded Blossoms Stamp: Bunny Poop
Jaded Blossom ziplock treat bags
Ribbon from my stash
Recollections CS
MS - Pink chalk ink
Studio g - gray chalk ink

CAC 2 #34 & 35 - Fall Cards

Hello just a quick post of the next Create A Critter 2 cards. I've made it into the Fall cards now so I finally caught up to Stacy.

Card #34

Card # 35

Hope you have a nice evening.
Thanks for stopping by.

Do you smell carrots?

Hello my friends. So glad you stopped by. I have a cute card to share with you today. Since it's almost Easter I thought I better put an Easter card up on my blog this week. ;)

I adore this stamp and sentiment. When I found it at Cats Pajamas I had to own it and here's my card using this fun set.

Hope this makes you smile...

The stamped image and sentiment are from the Cats Pajamas (Watching carrots and smell carrots rubber stamps)
I used a Spellbinders Labels eight to frame the bunny and carrots then popped with foam tape.
Brown Chalk ink used for the bunny stamp and sentiment.
I stamped the carrots on to orange and then green cs then I cut them out and pieced them on to the stamped image to give them more of an enticing look.
The card is cut at 5.5 X 4.25" then scored down the center from Kraft cs and then embossed with the Morrocan Screen Cuttlebug Folder.
The brad and the patterned paper is from my scraps and stash bin.
Zig pen in black used for dots around flag tag, which I created.

Always stop to smell the carrots. Hehehehe.

CAC 2 #32 & 33 - Halloween

Good evening my friends. I have the last two Halloween cards to share with you from the Create A Critter 2 cart.

I do not have a favorite of the two cards, because I like them both. The Kitty is so adorable and the little Monsters are super fun.

Card # 32

I used my Sei Halloween paper for the background on my kitty card which I think is purrfect for this since it looks like animal fur. I had fun decorating her outfit with Fruit Punch stickles and mini pearls. I did not use the Phrase for this one since I did not want it to say Costume Party. So I dug out My Craft Spot Happy Haunting stamp set and used the "Trick or Treat!" stamp instead.

A added a little fruit punch stickles on the cheeks of this cute pumpkin bucket too.

Card #33

This backgound paper actually came from the Target dollar bin last year around Halloween. The Phrase on this page actually says "Monster Bash" so I cut the phrase BEWARE out on pg 50 and used the "w" as an "M" so I could have it say Monster Mash instead. :)

The little curlies are from the Phrase. Love these.

Thanks for dropping by.
Hope you have a wonderful evening.

CAC 2 # 27, 28, 29, 30, & 31 - Halloween Cards

Welcome! I'm playing catch up since I've been gone so I have a few more cards from the Create A Critter 2 series with Stacy at Love that bug.

The cards are Halloween themed since I am still on that section. Love the cute little characters.

Warning this is a picture heavy post since I have the fronts and insides of five different cards. :)

Card # 27

I embossed my ghost because I'm on the embossing kick.

Card # 28

Love the witchy turtle. So cute.

Card # 29

Card # 30

Using up my scraps, so yes I did use this background paper twice. Love it for Halloween cards.

The carmel apple is so cute and yummy looking. :)

Card # 31

Yep had to emboss one of the clouds and had to bling up the moon and the wings on the bee with some stickles.

Hope you have a wonderful day.

Cut it Up Challenge #15 - Lion or Lamb

Hello my friends. Glad you stopped by for another Cut it Blop Challenge.

Cut it up Challenge #15 - March goes in like a Lion and come out like a Lamb. Create a project using a lion or a lamb.

I choose the lamb, well two lambs are better than one right? Hehehe

It's hard to tell but I used the Swiss dots Cuttlebug folder for both the black and white lambs fur. The Lambs were cut @ 3" from the Create A Critter cart. I used foam tape to pop them off the card and snuggled them together to make them look like the were holding hands.

I used Tim Holtz tattered flower die for the flowers and the CS is from S.E.I Bassett pack. The background mat is cut at 5.25 x 4 and the card is 5.5x 4.25.

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper More Punny-licious stamp set. I cut my own tag and used SU basic blk ink. The brads are from my stash.

That's it sweet and simple.

Hop on by the Cut It Up Blog to more inspiring projects today from the Cut it Up DT and to play along. Can't wait to see your creations.

Wash Your St. Patty's

Hello my crafty friends. I want to share this fun gift idea that I made to decorate my house for St. Patrick's Day. I did make a few as a gift but then time flew by and I didn't get them mailed out in time. Darn, well there's always next year...

I created the labels on my computer and came up with a few clever sayings to fit the Holiday.

Everybody needs to wash their St. Patty's right? (giggle) So to make it more festive I created these fun labels to go on my soap dispensers.

I bought soft soap in cucumber scent (it was green) at my local dollar store and took off the label then used a little Goo gone to make sure all the adhesive was removed. Then I added my own fun labels. Wha La! Instant Patty washers. I can't stop saying that. :) It's just too fun.

I went back and changed the font color so we could read the sayings a little better. :)

Some of our bachelor friends will be visiting soon so I wanted to keep them man friendly too. So the "Wash off the Blarney" one is for the boys. Hehehe

Cut It Up Challenge #14 - Dr. Suess Theme

Hello friends and welcome to my first DT project post for the Cut it up Challenge Blog!!!

CIU Challenge #14 is Happy Birthday Dr. Suess. His birthday was March 2nd and to celebrate all of his amazing talent we've been asked to make a project inspired by one of his books.

For my project, I decided to make a few bookmarks. I can always use book marks since I read quite a bit in my off time and of course like Mother like Daughter so I had to make two of each. ;)

Here they are! What do you think? Pretty Suess-ie if I do say so myself. :)

To start, I used MCCR (my cricut craft room) and the Art Philosophy cart. I choose the tag on page 50 and resized it to 2 x 7" to give a longer leaner look. I cut this out first on chipboard using the multi cut feature (2 times).

Then I went back to my file in MCCR and I copied the bookmark 4 times and flipped two of the images. I selected my CS and cut these out again. I used DCWV Grade School for the Cat in the Hat and DCWV Fun in the Sun for the Lorax.

I used the free classroom downloadable images for the Cat in the Hat and the Lorax. I fussy cut around my images after printing them and adhered them to my chipboard bookmarks. I colored the lorax with colored pencils since he was just an outline.

The tree stump is from Hampton Art Foot long stamp set. I stamped that on yellow CS and fussy cut around the image then topped it off with some yellow stickles. I gave the truffula trees a little sparkle too with some orange peel stickles. Then I added some ribbon from my stash to finish the look.

Hop on by the Cut It Up Blog to see the inspirational projects the design team has made and to join in on the fun!

CAC 2 # 26 - Halloween 2

Glad you stopped by. I have another Halloween card from the Create A Critter 2 series.

I am on my way to Beaufort SC today so I won't be able to stop by your blogs this weekend. I will try to catch up with you during the week. This is a busy March for me. I have company coming on Tuesday and staying through Friday. Plus I have to find some time on Sunday and Monday evening to go help my MIL move in to her new house. Busy busy.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur... If you have ever watched the Big Bang Therory then you know what I'm signing about. :)

And here she is:

I wanted to make her look more like a fabric kitty so I used a patterned cs from CTMH my reflections moonlight pack. I used S.E.I spooks assortment pack in howl cs for the background mat and Recollections cs for all the solid cuts. And I had to draw a flight trail for my bat on the inside of the card. :)

Thanks for stoppin by.

Create A Critter 2 # 24 - Freedom

Happy Monday!!! Glad you stopped in for another Create A Critter 2 card. This is the last of the Fourth of July cards. Wow time sure does fly in CAC world.

All this card making from the Create A Critter 2 cart is making me wish for warmer weather.

I got a little layer happy on this card. I used my star vellum that I bought from Michael's a few years ago. Yes I have been hording it for that special occassion so I forced myself to use it. I used the cuttlebug Stars embossing folder and the wonky rectangles from Spellbinders and a little silver ink for my layers behind the bear.

An Announcement and a card for CAC 2 # 22

Hello my friends and Happy Friday and the 1st of March!!!

I'm so excited to share the news. I am now a Design Team Member for the Cut it Up Challenge Blog! And to make things even more fun for me, my dear friend Kim is also a DT member so we get to scrap together on our projects. How fun is that?

Okay so on to my card today. I changed this card up again with a thinking of you card.

I love this adorable puppy and thought he deserved some pattern paper. I used the CAC style for this card so that my dog would stand out.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thurs. Feb. 28th - Birthday Theme

Welcome back! I am sharing a quick little gift bag/purse with you today. I'm sad to say that this is my last post as a design team member for my cricut craft room. It's been so fun to be a part of this team.

My daughter's birthday is in April and I like to get a head start on her birthday gifts so I've been shopping since January for little things here and there. She's a crafter just like her Mom so I always try to include a few fun craft items for her. While out and about, I picked up a few dollar stamp sets for her and wanted something to put them in.

I found the perfect little purse from the Artiste cart on page 41 and I cut that out at 5". I used patterned CS from S.E.I. ~ Chocolat stack for the entire purse. I cut the little flap off the purse so I could use it as a gift bag.

I kept this real simple so she could use it for something else later on. I used a SU punch and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on that punched piece and attached it to the little pocket on the front of the purse.

Here's what it looks like:

Then I put the stamp sets in and tied a ribbon around the handles to hold it together.

It was the perfect size to hold her mini stamp sets. I know she'll love it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Create A Critter 2 #21

Hello friends, glad you stopped by today. I'm a little behind in the crafty world.

I decided to work on a house project on Sunday which meant I had to paint the hallway up and down stairs. It's done and it looks fantastic. Yep all in one day. Well almost, I ended up taking a small dive off my ladder upstairs and knocked myself into my freshly painted wall. I still need a little touch up there. Oh and no worries, I didn't hurt myself. I tend to be a little clumsy now and then. :)

Okay on to my card, this is supposed to be another graduation card but I changed it up. My daughter is a teacher and when I saw the images I immediately saw a Teacher Appreciation card.

I didn't have a stamp for my sentiment so I typed it up in word and printed it out then used My Creative Time Fancy Frame die to cut out my sentiments. I also created the ruler that my owl is holding and cut that out by hand.

Here's the inside. Isn't it fun? I love the books and the apple.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Cut it Up - Pinterest inspired project (by Jessica Everhart) Ruler holders, You Rule for V-day.
My Craft Spot #88 - pop it up

Thanks for stopping.
Hope you have a fun and crafty day.
