Saturday, Jan. 5th - MCCR 100 Cart Blog Hop

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cart December Blog Hop!

You should have come from Sarah Mae's blog http://itswhatkeepsmesane.blogspot.com/. If you happended to stop by my blog and would like to start at the beginning of this hop, please click here: http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/

I'm so glad you're hopping by. For my projects today, I choose Celebrate with Flourish, Give a Hoot, Sponge Bob, Lacey Labels and Billionaire cartridges. I also threw in Accent Essentials and Wild card cartridges too.

I made a few more cards since I am starting a new year and have a few birthdays right around the corner.

My first card is a Valentine's Day card. I cut a piece of Recollections CS down to create a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" card in pink. I embossed this with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. Next I hand cut a piece of MME CS to use as my first layer behind my heart. I used Celebrate with Flourish to cut my heart out at 3" from yes that's right my scrap paper stash.

I colored the purple parts with my Martha Stewart glitter marker. I had the little pink swirl piece left over from my cut out heart and had to use that piece too so I colored that with a pink MS glitter marker and set it aside. I used my Spellbinders small Lacey Circle to add above the heart then attached my pink swirl to that. Since I had such a pretty heart I decided that I needed a key so I dug through my Tim Holtz Grunge Board until I found the perfect key and yes I colored it with my MS purple glitter pen too and attached that to my circle. All that I needed was my love brad and a tag. The tag I cut out after stamping it with my sentiment "you hold the key" from S.E.I. Love birds stamp set. Tada! Here's the finished card:

My next card is a birthday card for my sweet little Grandaughter, Madison. She will be 2 in February.  I used Give a Hoot to cut the bunny with the ballon on pg. 53 at 4". If you look close you can see that I used a little black brad for the bunny's nose. I cut the card from Wild Card on pg. 52 using the fit to cut feature with an 8 1/2 x 11" piece of Recollection CS. This feature cut the card at 5 1/2". Next I used Accent Essentials to cut a 5" circle for the inside of my card and a 4 1/2" circle for the outside layer. For the outside layer I embossed it with D'Vine Swirls. I inked the card and bunny in SU Cameo Coral ink. For my next layer I used the Spellbinders lacey circle cut from a single sheet of Kelly Pannacci - Mini Flowers CS.

I used Pink by Design - Take the cake stamp set for the "Birthday Girl" sentiment on the front of the card and the sentiments on the inside of the card too.

My last card is a birthday card for My Father-in-Law. His birthday is January 7th and he loves Spongebob. Like Father like Son. :)

I used my Spongebob cart to cut Spongebob Square Pants at 4 1/2". The jelly fish were cut at 1" and 1 1/2". I thought it would be fun to stick a top hat on him so I went straight to the Billonaire cart and cut the hat at 1". Spongebob's eyes and teeth were given a little glossy accents to make them shine.

For the B-day tag I used Lacey Labels and cut that at 2". The ribbon is from stash. The Happy Birthday stamp is from, would you believe, Walmart? It's true, it was back in 1996 when they actually sold rubber stamps. Enough rambling, here's the finished card. What do you think?
