As I was hopping around today to the different challenge blogs I stopped on My Craft Spot. They are having a Friends are the best challenge this week. We have to create something for a friend. Well since I can't seem to stop making Disney projects I decided this would be a great challenge to play along with this week.
Mrs. Pots is one of my favorite Disney characters and if you are cutting out a Mrs. Pots your are cutting out a chip to go right along with her. What's a tea pot without a cup? Unless you're the mad hatter you won't be drinking your tea from the pot. That's why I had to include chip in my special card.
I had so much fun creating this card and I cannot wait to send it to my friend.
Here's how I made it.
I cut a 5.5 X 8.5 piece from SU rich razzleberry card stock then I scored it in half to create my card.
I cut Mrs. Pots along with chip at 4" with scraps from my card stock stash and pieced them together.
I cut another piece of card stock using the SU top note Sizzix die then I highlighted the stitching around the die with a zig pen. I added a few extra lines to my characters too.
I stamped my sentiment from Fiskars Latte Love onto another scrap piece of card stock. Then cut it in to a small rectangle while using my small circle punch to nip the corners. I put the brad through the tag and the top note card then glued it down to my card base. I put my characters on next then stamped the small flower image around the top note.
My card still did not look complete to me so I took a piece of ribbon and stamped a tea bag image onto it. I cut it out and attached a piece of DMC floss to the ribbon tea bag and little tag and placed that next to chip using a glue dot. That's exactly what it needed. :)
Wishing you all a lovely Tuesday Evening. Thanks for stopping by.
