Happy Friday my friends. Glad you stopped by for another Cut it up Blop Challenge.

Birthday Card

Hi my crafty friends. Hope you have had a wonderful Sunday so far.

I had to make a beachy card for my friend since she lives at the beach. Lucky girl... I don't use orange in my cards so I challenged myself for this card and here's what I came up with. Hope you like it.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Cricut Cardz Challenge #77
http://www.cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com/
The challenge for this week is to make a card using the card feature from any cartridge, and you may use any colors or theme you'd like.

The paper variety Fruity Challenge
http://thepapervariety.blogspot.com/2011/06/fruity-fun.html

Looking at the inside of the card now, I wish I would have hidden the brads and not put them all the way through the card. oh well, live and learn.

Recipe:
I used the Pack your Bags cart and choose the card on page 69 which I cut at 5 3/4" from the DCWV The fun in the Sun Summer glitter stack double sided cardstock.

I cut the glass at 4" from some left over paper in my stash, then I used the DCWV glitter matstack paper for the liquid in the glass.

I cut coral cardstock from the paper company and punched it with a Fiskars punch after punching it out it ended up measuring around 3 1/2 x 5. I ran that through my Big Shot using the Sizzix tiny flowers texture plate then attached it to my card.

I cut the flowers out leftover from the DCWV summer double sided cardstock and placed that in the corner using a brad from my stash. I added the other brads to balance it out a little.

The tiny flowers in the upper left corner were made by using the EK Success mini flower punch and brads.

Martha Stewart glitter pens in yellow and orange were used to color the orange and the straw and to add dots to the mini flowers.

Gelly rolls pens in white and clear star used to add detail to the punched out loops and the glass.

SU ink in basic black and bermuda bay used for stamping images and sentiments.

Happy Birthday sentiment from Stampendous Birthday Brackets clear stamp set.
Inka doo mini clear stamp sets used inside of card.

Zig pen for stitching on card.

Whew! that's it. Have a Happy Sunday evening.

My Bags are packed

I'm getting ready to leave for Michigan tomorrow so I packed as much as I could possibly fit into my back pack. If I had my way I would bring our kitchen sink he he he. My problem is that I cannot bring a bag to check because #1 they always seem to lose my luggage and #2 they are charging 25 dollars for checked bags now. So I'm carrying a backpack and then I can use that 50 dollars that I saved to buy scrapbook supplies.

I'll be visting with my kids, my Mom and my new grand baby while I'm there and I can't wait to get there. So naturally I had to create a Layout to capture the beginning of my journey. My bunny Boo does not like it when I leave him. If he spots the luggage he tries to lay on it or jump in it so I can't put anything in there. I created the lo for him as you can see.

What I used:
Pack your bags cart
Plane cut at 2 2/3"
Suitcase cut at 3"
Lotion bottle cut at 2"

Give a hoot cart
Bunny cut at 2", cut three

All solid paper is from my scrap bin. Paisley patterned paper is from Deja Views Fresh print in blue raspberry paisley. Paper for mats and scalloped paper is from Recollections Autumn 8 x 8 cardstock pad.
Punch - EK success
Stamp on bottle - Studio g
Martha stewart bakers twine
