My very first Gypsy Card

I did, I did! Well thanks to Sheila of She's a Sassy Lady.

I saw her post and went over to check out her project. She has a tutorial to walk you through the steps of making her A2 wide Owl Card. I swear after watching her tutorial the light bulb went off in my head (oh that's what the gypsy is for...) Hehehe.

I just want to say thanks again to Sheila for sharing your tutorial. It really helped me to realize that there was no need to keep my poor gypsy tucked away in a cubbyhole on my desk. The ol' girl was glad to help me out when I turned her on and started following along with Sheila.

I adjusted the card a bit from Sheila's instructions by cutting out the second layer and attaching it to the card base. On Sheila's she has her owl hanging off the front of the card, you'll have to go see her so this will make more sense to you.

This was a fun card to make for my very first gypsy project and I must say that I'm rather pleased. What do you think?

Inside sentiment:

For instruction on this great card hop on over to Sheila of She's a Sassy Lady.

Here's what I used:
Really Rust SU card stock
g.c.d. Autumn Afternoon two sided card stock as background
All other card stock from my scraps
Google eyes from HL
Buttons and Ribbon from my stash - after gluing the ribbon to the front of my card I cut off the small piece that hung over and instead of trashing it, I stuck it on my tag!
Hampton Art Who Loves You clear stamp set
SU close to cocoa ink spot

Thanks for leaving me some love. I always enjoy reading your thoughtful comments. Have a wonderful Sunday.
