The Carrot Tree

Happy Sunday my friends!

It's been a while since I've made a card so I thought it was time that I started my Christmas cards. I did not get a chance to make all my Christmas cards last year for my friends and family so this year I am going to make sure that everyone receives a handmade card.

I love the ABC Christmas Challenge because it keeps me motivated and gives me some great ideas for cards.

Here's my challenge entry for the G color challenge this week. I love how it turned out.

What I used:
Cardstock by Recollections: White and Green
Metallic Gold Cardstock by DCWV: The textured Metallic Stack

White Card cut to 5x7
Green cardstock cut to 4.5x6.5
Gold cardstock cut to 4x6
White cardstock cut to 3.5x5.5 then stamped with image

Image stamp by Stampabilites Happy Hoppers by House-mouse designs 2006
Sentiment Stamp by Stampabilites Very Merry Christmas 2008 (both stamps purchased from Hobby Lobby).

K&Company Metalic Gold Ink
SU Basic Black Ink and Glamous Green Ink
Sizzix Powered Sugar Embossing Folder by Basic Grey - on Green cardstock
Ribbon from my stash purchased from Michael's dollar bin

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

What a wonderful idea to start your handmade cards now! Do you ever worry about your heartfelt cards being tossed in the trash? I tend not to make them for those people. This card is perfect!!

Hello my friend...I wanted to stop by and answer your question. I do have the Grand Calibur and I absolutely love it!! I like being able to cut out bigger dies and a bunch of them at the same time. But...I still have my Cuttlebug, too. If I am only cutting out one die, I use it so I don't have to crank the plates through the Grand Calibur. If I could only have one, I would definitely choose the Grand Calibur just because of the options you have to do more with it. I hope this helps :)

Have a great evening,

Lisa
