November 19 My Cricut Craft Room Winter Theme

Welcome to my Cricut Craft Room's My IMAGINE ation Monday.

For my design team post on My Cricut Craft Room today, I created a winter themed block for my home.

To start this project I choose the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge from My Cricut Craft Room. I love the deer and snowflakes on this cartridge and thought they would be perfect together for my winter scene. I used the basic feature to cut my shapes.

This was my very first attemp at cutting vinyl so I choose to use my cricut craft room to help me with the proper settings for my cricut. I did a test run on some scrap paper first to make sure I had the right size cuts for my clear block. Once I was ready, I clicked the cut button and choose Vinly under the pull down menu, from there My Cricut Craft room provided the correct settings for my Cricut such as, speed, blade dept and pressure. Once I adjusted my cricut to the appropriate settings I was off and cutting.

My Cricut Craft room took the guess work out of cutting vinyl for me so I can't wait to use this amazing tool again for more of my projects.

To finish off my block, I had to add a bow and some battery operated lights.

I'm so pleased with how this turned out and cannot wait to display it.
