Erica asked the team to make an easel card for our posts today. With Valentine's Day so close I decided to make one last Valentine's day card. I made a very simple card that you could make in no time at all.
My card was cut at 4.25 x 8.5 then scored at 3 and 5.5. I cut two pieces of CS at 4.25 x 5.5 one in Recollections Black and one from the Authentique - Lovely 6 x 6 pad. This patterned paper became my background for my card. I cut one more piece at 2.5 x 4.25 in Recollections Black CS for the base.
I used the Accent Essentials cart to cut out the heart on page 67. I cut this heart out several times at various sizes and layered my hearts together. The sizes were: 2, 1.5,1.25, and 1" for the solid CS. For the patterned paper the hearts were cut at: 1.75,1.25, 1, and .75". Then I arranged them on the card to my liking. I added a few pearls from Recollections to my hearts and a little foam tape to pop them off the page.
As you can see in the pic below, I cut one heart at 1.5" using the outline feature and used both pieces on the base of the card. The largest heart was used as my catch for the card when it stands up.
The sentiment "you & me" is from Studio g. I stamped this using Recollections pigment ink and used a little Ranger embossing powder in black to help it stand out.
That's it! Easy peasy.
